The Welcome Building won ‘Most Innovative Public Project’ at last week’s Building Innovation Awards.
Hodder and Partners are delighted that this very special project has won 16 awards thus far and would like to thank the judges of the Building Innovation Awards for this further award. The Welcome Building is the gateway to RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford. Its horizontal form responds to the commanding horizon defined by the Bridgwater Canal and low-lying landscape. With sustainability at its heart, the project embodies post-pandemic offerings for social engagement and wellbeing.
Last week staff from Hodder and Partners celebrated the project with a practice away day to visit the RHS Garden Bridgewater, staff enjoyed the gardens led by RHS volunteers, followed by a building tour provided by Stephen Hodder and project architect Nick Wright.
