Our practice is organising a bike ride fundraiser event to raise money for the RIBA Future Architects Pledge. On the 14th July our riders will be cycling the Swettenham Loop, 68km of varied terrain around the Cheshire countryside, with a few hills to tackle!
We have pledged to raise £1000 for the RIBA National Schools Programme and the Student Hardship Fund by September 2018.
The RIBA National Schools Programme aims to provide the next generations with experience, knowledge and understanding of architecture and the built environment around them, and the skills and confidence to become involved in debates surrounding it.
The RIBA, and Hodder+Partners believe that anyone dreaming of becoming an architect should have the opportunity to do so. The length of architecture courses, along with the need for specialised materials, printing services and essential study trips, make architecture one of the most expensive professions to join. As a result talented, ambitious and driven young people are sadly being lost to the profession due to financial hardship. The RIBA Student Hardship Fund aims to address this.
