Mirabel Street residential tower of 71 apartments on Mirabel Street in Manchester has received detail planning permission (see portfolio). The building, opposite the MEN Arena, is 11 storeys high as it addresses Great Ducie Street, rising to 17 storeys as it engages with the future Greengate development. Elevationally, the expression of each apartment is articulated by a grillage of pre-concrete (with reference to our work at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford) which contains balconies enclosed by perforated, profiled anodised aluminium shutters. Our client, Property Route, intends to commence on site later this year.
