Plans have now been submitted for the Plaza 1821 site which forms part of Peel Group’s Liverpool Waters and located within the World Heritage Site buffer zone. Part of the wider Princes Dock Redevelopment scheme, Liverpool Waters covers 60 hectares divided into 88 plots aiming to create a world-class mixed use waterfront development quarter in central Liverpool.
The building is 15 stories of residential apartments with a ground floor of commercial and a mezzanine including plant spaces. There are a mixture of one and two bedroomed apartments with 105 apartments in total. The development’s name Plaza 1821 is in reference to Princes Dock, now approaching its 200th anniversary, named after the Prince Regent and opened on the day of his Coronation as George IV in 1821.
