Today hodder+partners welcomed architectural students from Manchester School of Architecture to our studio here in Castlefield to give an insight to working in practice.
40 students who are in the final year of their undergraduate architecture degree visited our studio as part of their continued development and learning, the students were given a tour of our practice, followed by presentations from founding director Stephen Hodder.
Stephen spoke about his 40 years of involvement in architecture, setting up a successful practice and touching on his year out at a small firm in the Peak District, which gave him a huge amount of responsibility and confidence in continuing his study.
Students also heard presentations from some of our part 1 and 2 architectural assistants about their experiences, learning and involvement here at hodder+partners.
Stephen who is Professor of Architecture at Manchester School of Architecture said; ‘It’s really important to give our students the chance to visit working studios, this enhances their study and gives opportunity to ask questions about their future careers and working in practice.’
