4 Piccadilly Place for Argent Estates/The Carlyle Group has been completed on programme and within budget. The £20.6m building provides 110,000sq ft of Grade ‘A’ flexible office space over seven floors, with over 10,000sq ft of retail space on the ground floor. It represents the final component of the 650,000sq ft Piccadilly Place development.
The constraints of the site were such that much of the construction was prefabricated, from the wc pods, the fan coil units, ductwork modules and riser installations to the honed precast concrete cladding. The building achieves a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating. The main contractor is Carillion plc.
